Looking Unto Jesus

Hebrews 12:2

           Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of faith,

The woman found a touch of God's grace.

She didn't know all the answers,

Her bible knowledge was scarce,

But she received the encouragement

To face her fears.

 

Friends and family mocked her

For faith she could not explain.

She had been an atheist,

Until Jesus she had gained.

She would not betray her experience,

Nor deny her Saviour lived.

She learned to face her circumstances

And to forgive.

 

 

 

 

          She came into community.

And exercised her gifts.

She didn't always get it right,

But she learnt to take a risk.

Walking in her Christian life

The years brought joyful service.

Embedded in her heart was peace

And a new sense of purpose.
